Of the other choices that I went for before going to see Justice League, The Florida Project is excellent and one of my top three films of the year. Ingrid Goes West will depend on your sense of humour (I laughed more at the Batman referencing than the darker stuff), and both of them pass the Bechdel test with ease. Despite laughing at the trailer, I was going in to see this with a grudge. Yes, I understood with my head that they needed a new direction for Thor after ‘The Dark World’ and whatever was going on with him in ‘Age of Ultron’. I have mixed feelings, a lot of which are of the frustrated variety, about this film. I can understand why reviewers gave it middling ratings because some aspects are brilliant and others are not good. If you like your science fiction weird and wonderful and colourful, go see Guardians of the Galaxy 2 first this but be aware there are problems.

I finally got to see it - it was a bit of a rush to get there because the people I was going with wanted to see it at an earlier showing than I'd first sugested. So, I arrived in the middle of the trailer for the Justice League movie feeling flustered, frankly.

My head and my heart aren’t entirely in accord about this film, all right? ( heart says yes, head says hmm )
